Reflexology--A very BIG word for therapeutic touch to the feet, bringing a deep sense of relaxation, and encouragement of every system of the body toward greater balance, health, and wellness. With each organ, gland and part of the body mirrored on the feet, the therapist holds the whole body in her hands. Consider that thought in light of this quote from Jane Harrington:
"When you touch a body, you touch the whole person, the intellect, the spirit, and the emotions."
I am humbled and awed by the tremendous responsibility I’m given, when entrusted with the life of each unique individual I am privileged to serve. I believe the real therapeutic benefits my clients enjoy come from allowing myself to be the vessel used by God to bring His healing and His comfort to others.
A Little about me personally:
I always wondered what I would be when I grew up! As a stay-at-home mom for many years, I've worn many hats, to be sure, and managed some work from home endeavors that allowed me that freedom. The corporate world held little interest. My desire was to serve others in meaningful and intentional ways, while enjoying continued flexibility. As my children grew and left the nest to begin their own families, my long time interest in reflexology met up with a new found passion for the benefits of therapeutic grade essential oils. The reportedly excellent delivery of these benefits through the feet made this a perfect "marriage." The result was the birth of Footsteps In Eden Reflexology in November 2007.Volunteering my gifts and talents to the families of patients at St. Jude and to women in need on Spa Night at the Healing Planet (a ministry of The Painted Planet in Midtown) gives me the opportunity to share with the Memphis community. The gifts I receive are far beyond what I am able to give.
My husband, Steve, and I are blessed with two wonderful children (and their spouses) and five beautiful grandchildren. Our two newest grandchildren were adopted from Ethiopia and arrived “home” in October 2010.
